Ugly Christmas Sweater Party by Erin Dove

Hi Shindigz Party Planners! It’s Erin Dove, from The Blue Eyed Dove. One of my favorite parties of the year to throw and plan for is my annual Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. There’s just something about people dressing up in ugly sweaters, eating, watching Christmas movies and playing games that helps spread holiday cheer.

Nowadays, you can find an ugly sweater just about anywhere {seriously they sell them everywhere!}, so there really is no excuse not to get your friends together for a fun night. Plus, there are a lot of cute sweater-themed party decorations to use that will make your party top notch! Today, I’d like to share with you some of my favorite Shindigz products that I used.

One of the easiest ways to make a fun statement at your party is to add a colorful banner or pennant to your wall. Shindigz has plenty of fun and unique pennants and personalized to choose from.

I picked the Sweater Weather Joy Pennant. It really looks like a Christmas sweater don’t you think?! I love it! I also used solid color red and green pennants for some extra color.

To keep the traditional Christmas colors of red and green going throughout my party décor I added red and green striped straws. Then I placed them in a mason jar with plaid ribbon attached for extra detail.

Sweater-weather inspired dinner and dessert plates are the perfect touch for any Christmas {or winter-themed} party. You can even personalize the plates if you want to!

The matching cups along with the table runner added a little bit of plaid to the party décor. I also added green garland and red bows to accent the table runner.

To finish off the party I served Christmas-themed snacks like these delicious Christmas Tree cakes. Not only do they taste good, but they also fit the theme perfectly!

This party was so much fun to decorate for. You can find the decorations I used and even more sweater-weather themed items here. I hope I’ve inspired you to break out your ugly Christmas sweaters and celebrate the holiday season to it’s fullest!
