It does not have a metal stand, the columns is what will allow it to stand. You will have all you need within the package to assemble the arch. sorry, I know I asked this question already, but I did not ask the right question. I realize the arch comes in only one size but my question is can it be cut down or shortened without effecting the structure itself? we were hoping we could shorten each of the pillars by removing a foot or two from the base of the pillars.
