Spa Day Birthday Party by Julie Verville | Plus FREE Printable Activities!

What little girls don’t dream of going to the spa!?! Manicures, pedicures, facials and lots of pampering!!!

When putting this spa day party together, we definitely wanted to capture the concept of a spa party but in the design, our goal was to create a look that would work at a spa location or in someone’s home.

As guests entered the home, they were greeted with this oversized "Happy Birthday" standee which doubled as a great photo op location as guests arrived and departed the event. Once inside, this fun spa day directional sign let guests know what spa services were being offered during the party.

The focal point of our dessert table was the hand painted bright pink backdrop, created with a simple piece of ÂĽ" plywood covered in a single coat of white acrylic paint. The pink brushstrokes were created using a large natural hair paint brush and motions from left to right giving the "nail polish" painted look. To bring our backdrop to life, we added this super fun nail polish standee off to one side.

This party lent itself to décor under the white streamlined table. So, we had a ball decorating with bright colored paper lanterns in varying sizes, white honeycomb tissue balls & tissue pom poms. The end result was colorful and filled in our party space.

For a nod to salon but in a whimsical way, we used this fun marquee light box to designate our "Nail Bar" area filled with nail polish cookies, cotton balls (aka giant marshmallows) and nail files (aka wafer cookies).

Our table’s centerpiece was this simple, sweet buttercream cake. We used these chevron printed spa day paper plates and pink, green & purple stamped wooden cutlery after the birthday song! For ease of service and for an added pop of color on our tablescape, we displayed our forks in a simple glass cylinder vase. For refreshments, pink lemonade was served in these fun spa day paper cups.

To add a bit of freshness to the table, we filled this large round cylinder vase with pink dipped white roses.

With so much color in our dessert table, we kept seated guest tables fairly simple in design. White paper tablecloths were layered with a black paper tablecloth for dimension. Personalized paper placemats designated each guest’s spa station, and we filled the tables with more of the gorgeous roses used on the main table.

In addition to spa treatments offered, guests were entertained by FREE activity sheets and crayons at each table. And once the party started, it was tough to resist photo ops with these fun bright pink frames!!

Each guest took home these personalized favor bags full of "Kisses" lip balm, "Hello Gorgeous" compact mirrors, assorted mini nail polishes and silver glitter nail files.
