Pirate Birthday Party Idea

Julie Verville | JULY 6, 2017

ARRGHHH & Ahoy Mateys! Pirates are such an amazing theme for children of all ages, and we had a blast putting together this Seven Seas party!

Pirate Theme | Seven Seas Adventure Theme | Pirate's Map Theme | Pirates of the Caribbean Theme | Pirate Ship Standee | Pirate Theme Standees | Black Tablecloth | Pirate Pennant Banner | Nautical Glass Container | Pirate Personalized Cupcake Wrappers | Pirate Flags | Pirate Theme Stickers | Pirate Theme Plates | Pirate Theme Napkins | Pirate Theme Cups | Pirate Theme Water Bottle Stickers | Pirate Theme Photo Backdrop Standee | Treasure Chest | Pirate Hat | Inflatable Sword | Pirate Eye Patch | Metallic Gold Coins | Pirate Theme Personalized Favor Bags

We designed the entire dessert table around this amazing personalized pirate ship standee. We simply assembled the standee as directed and placed our table inside of it, covering the table with a black tablecloth so that it blended into the standee’s background. We suspended a pirate pennant banner across the top of the table using wooden rods inside nautical glass containers filled with rocks and sand. One of my favorite things about standees is that they can be reused after the party concludes. For example, this pirate ship is the perfect hideout for small children, who can climb in and out of the sides for hours of playtime fun.

For dessert, we offered chocolate cupcakes with white buttercream icing in personalized cupcake wrappers and topped with pirate flags for our party guests. Cupcakes are a great, economical way to offer desserts to a large party crowd.

For fun, we also displayed crocodile sugar cookies in sand on a clear platter and malt balls aka "Cannon Balls" in a tall cylinder with a personalized pirate sticker.

Desserts were served on pirate paper plates along with pirate beverage napkins and pirate paper cups. Personalized Water bottles were decorated with "Salty Sea Water". One of the best parts of custom printed labels is you can coordinate fun sayings for your food and beverage items with the theme.

For added décor on the dessert table, we scattered gold metallic coins and displayed some pirate hats.

Doubling as a party activity and a great way to get party guest photos, we set up a photo booth station. Our pirate theme standee backdrop provided a great foundation for photos. We displayed a treasure chest about 4 feet in front of our backdrop and made several photo props available for fun pics; pirate hats, inflatable pirate swords, pirate eye patches.

Party guests took home personalized favor bags filled with metallic gold coins, labeled as "Yer Share of the Pirate Treasure".
