March Madness Party by Erin Dove

Hi Shindigz Party Planners! It’s Erin Dove, back again from The Blue Eyed Dove. March is one of my favorite months of the year. Spring is just starting up, we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, and most importantly it’s the best {and most exciting time of the year} to watch college basketball!

Being from the state of Indiana basketball is obviously huge for us, especially if your team {the Indiana Hoosiers} is having a great season. March Madness gives us an excuse to have an awesome basketball-themed party. And in case you don’t know much about IU fans, we definitely like to party! Luckily for us, Shindigz has a ton of basketball-themed party supplies to choose from. Plus they carry a great line of collegiate products so you can personalize your party while rooting for your team!

Every basketball-themed party needs a banner! For my party I liked the idea of incorporating in several. I used the Spalding basketball pennant on top of a white tissue tassel garland and hung that above the food table.

Then I added a red tissue tassel garland on top of the food table’s table cloth. Don ‘t you think the garland resembles pom poms? Love them!

I decorated the food table with red cheerphones {which you can also personalize for your team!}, red basketball hoop beads and red and white pom poms.

Shindigz has a wide assortment of foam fingers/products to choose from. Again, sticking with IU’s colors I choose these. The best thing about the decorations is they can turn into cheering props once the game starts!

For the tableware I choose Spalding basketball dinner plates, and placed them on top of black chargers. I used black plastic cutlery, black luncheon napkins, and some Spalding basketball cups with black and white chevron straws.

My favorite products for this party are of course the IU-themed ones! I used these plastic cups, and some Hoosier napkins (similar). I like them so much I might start using them everyday! {To see Shindigz’s complete line of IU-themed party supplies click here.}

Snacks and beverages for the party included sandwich’s, chips, cupcakes and lots of spirits!

If this kind of party doesn’t get you pumped to cheer on your basketball team I’m not sure what will! Don’t worry if the Indiana Hoosiers aren’t the team you root for, Shindigz has plenty of other licensed collegiate party supplies to choose from.
