Football Tailgate Party by Jenny Dixon

Hi Shindigz friends, it’s Jenny from Craft That Party here to share some football tailgate inspiration with you. I love when fall comes around and we start prepping for some road trips and college football games. Tailgate setups have to be somewhat simple since you are bringing everything with you and setting up on the fly. My tailgate table took 10 minutes to set up using a 6' folding table, burlap table cover, and a personalized rectangular football table top-it.

Cheerphones are a great way to decorate in your school colors and can double to hold food (such as popcorn or candy) if you purchase the small plastic white caps to close the bottom hole. I also added two end zone pylonsto each end of the table.

Create your own no-sew penalty flag garland in minutes using ribbon, safety pins, and penalty flags. I chose four yellow flags and four red flags for this 6′ table. Cut white ribbon about 8′, safety pin the top of the flags to the ribbon evenly across the table. When finished, pin the garland directly to your burlap tablecloth.

Sliders served with game day football picks on top were on the menu as well as some blue and white frosted cupcakes topped with NFL football rings. I just love that these cupcake wrappers can be personalized for every team or occasion!

Blue and white pom poms also make great decorations that guests can take into the game with them!

Small details always make a huge impression, like these personalized glass bottle labels. These water resistant labels can be personalized with text and color to match your team.

Create your own personalized utensil holders by placing a small mason jar in a can cooler. Embellish the outside with a personalized football sticker (again, I just changed the color of the fantasy football sticker to match my team and added my own text) and add utensils in your team colors. So simple!

Every tailgate needs games such as some corn hole. Shindigz can even personalize corn hole boards for your tailgate! I created my own boards and just love how they turned out. They fold together and the bean bags tuck inside for easy travel.

Lastly, every tailgate needs a trash and recycling area. I created a "Recycling & Trash Talking Here" yard sign to match my bottle labels and stickers. Recycle fling pop up trash bins help keep tailgating areas clean and organized.

I hope this helps inspire some ideas for your own tailgating or football parties this fall. Have a great time cheering on your favorite teams this year!
