Step back into the era when rock and roll was born with fifties parties and supplies from Shindigz. Blue suede shoes are hard to come by, but once in a while saddle oxfords still turn up. Poodle skirts are easy to make, and for guy re-creating 50s attire is as easy as a white t-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket. Dressing up the room is just as easy with 50s theme decorations kits from Shindigz. We have four available, including a 50s diner kit and another with music as its focal point. The kits include the major pieces you need to create a great atmosphere, and they cost less than buying the pieces separately. Supplement the kits with solid color balloons and streamers and you’re set.

In addition to diners, soda shops were classic 50s hangouts. That’s why an ice cream buffet would make a great substitute for formal dessert service at your 50s party. The soda shop, in fact, could be a great 50s party theme all by itself. For centerpieces, create “sodas” from white and pink carnations with a milk shake shaker as a vase. Cover the tables with pink clothes and use darker pink and black accents. A black, white and pink balloon bouquet is a perfect centerpiece for this era of innocence. Decorate the walls with hula hoops and vinyl 45s.
