Farm Chic Birthday Party by Jamie Forsythe

My friend’s daughter Claire was about to turn 3. She loves farm animals so she asked for my help to put together a cute little farm party. Claire also loves dressing up and getting fancy so I decided a Fancy Farm party was in order.

I set up a grazing table station full of fruits and veggies and a build your own pb&j table for the kids. It had different types of jellies and peanut butter in jars to choose from. Also, a basket of farm fresh bread and farm themed cookie cutters for them to cut their own sandwiches out. They loved it!

Since life is sweet on the farm, Bessie the cardboard cow welcomed the guests over to a full dessert table for everyone to enjoy. I was so thankful to have teamed up with Shindigz for their variety of decor they offered. From the farm animals, burlap tiered tablecloth with the gold glitter horseshoe banner to the adorable chandelier, hay bales, and even milk bottles. So many fun things to choose from! We had a watering hole for drinks and a variety of desserts from cow pies to hay bale Rice Krispies. I broke up one of the hay bales and scattered it on the ground to give it more of a farm feel. I used the liberty line of napkins and plates for guests to pile their goodies on.

For the kid’s table, I put out a variety of different seating including a larger hay bale that the kids couldn’t decide who got to sit there because it was so cool. Each place setting had their plates and utensils as well as little milk jars and a gold horse. I decided to spray paint the horses gold since we are on a fancy farm after all.

The last area I put together was the Fancy Farm Pony Corral and pig pen. This is where the kids spent most of their time playing with their fancy ponies, wrangling pigs behind the fence and watching the sheep go by. It was so much fun!
