Turn Cool Days into Warm Memories with a Fall Harvest Party!
It’s October which happens to be my favorite month of the year. The days are cooler, Halloween is here and all that delicious food from Thanksgiving is right around the corner. This year, I wanted to put together a fall harvest party for my girls and their friends. I teamed up with Shindigz to give you all things fall that we love. Apple cider, pumpkins and, of course, pie. The new Harvest Market party line has a fresh feel by incorporating black and white gingham (which is so popular right now). This cute line set the tone for the party and then I incorporated a few more bold colors like teal and caramel brown to pull it all together.
Fall Decor & Warm Food
I set up a cider and caramel apple bar using a rustic lemonade stand I had. Gold letter balloons let the kids know what they were about to dive into and I whipped up some delicious caramel apples using both red and green apples. The main food table featured a gold foil curtain backdrop with a colorful balloon garland draped across it. The pumpkin patch plates matched our gingham tablecloth and the whole set up was so cute. I set out snack trays full of eats you might find on Thanksgiving, but I made them a little bit more kid-friendly. Instead of turkey, I served turkey cracker stacks with cheese. I added pecans instead of pecan pies, mixed in with other fruits and nuts.
Fall Fun for the Kids
To keep the kids entertained, I put together a fall scavenger hunt by hiding items around the party for them to find - like pinecones and mini pumpkins. They each had a gift bag that they were able to decorate with stickers, then they went around and searched for the items on the scavenger hunt and put them inside their bag. Once they gathered everything they could find they came back and marked it all off their list. After the hunt was over, we played a little at the photo booth with our pumpkin faces and then enjoyed some treats - mini pies and caramel apples.
It was a short but sweet party that was perfect to welcome in fall!
