It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! One of our favorite activities during the holiday season is decorating cookies. So why not create a party dedicated to Christmas cookies? We hope you love our ideas for a sweet gingerbread cookie decorating party!
The backdrop for our cookie decorating party was this amazing gingerbread house standee, covering the entire back wall of our space. Full of fun coloring and details, this single standee creates the perfect setting for a holiday party.
As the kids walked to their seats, they had fun hopping on these peppermint rounds we carefully placed along the floor. Once they selected a seat, they each had a colorful Christmas plate and their very own gingerbread man to decorate. We covered our white table linens with this great roll of kraft paper for easy clean up after the cookie decorating portion of the party.
Sitting in the center of the table between two super cute peppermint candy centerpieces was a silver platter full of everything needed to create their one-of-a-kind cookie art; several icing colors, marshmallows, chocolate chips, mint chocolate chips, sprinkles and red hots, just to name a few.
For some other fun décor, we decorated this sweet, child-sized tea cart. A fun pom-pom garland draped the front of the cart. And we placed over-sized tissue Christmas ornaments at the base of the cart for color.
We fell in love with this rosemary plant in the shape of a Christmas tree; the perfect addition to the top of our cart. For guests looking for a beverage option other than milk, we served cranberry spritzer in festive red paper cups. And, once the cookie decorating was complete, guests had a ball popping our Christmas crackers, each filled with fun surprises.
What’s not to love about a party centered around Christmas treats?
