Cars 3 Birthday Party Idea
Have you ever wanted to host your child’s birthday party at a bounce house, gymnastics gym, or movie theatre, but you still wanted it to have some style? I find that a lot of parents love the ease of those types of parties, but they don’t leave a lot of time to decorate, or to make the party room festive; you are only allowed a few minutes to use the room before the party starts!
Well, today I am going to show you how to decorate a party in 30 minutes or less! My youngest son has always been obsessed with the Disney movie Cars. So, when we realized that Cars 3 would be coming out the week before his birthday, we knew that it would be the perfect way to celebrate at his party. We decided to bring a few of his close friends to the movies with us that day. Our movie theatre allows 30 minutes before the start of the party, and then the room must be cleaned before going into the movie. That being the case, everything had to be disposable. Shindigz was a huge help with this!
To dress up the simple, white plastic tables, I used black and white checkered tablecloths. The rolls of tablecloths can also be used in so many other ways. They can be hung from the ceiling, or used as a backdrop--just cut as much as you need! Every child’s place setting had the new, cute Cars 3 license plates and napkins. My son loved seeing all the new characters on his party supplies. For the centerpieces of the tables, I used the new Cars 3 table decorating sets. They even come with fun confetti for the tables!
On my main table, I wanted to use these awesome, HUGE Cars 3 standees! They stand up all by themselves, which makes them super versatile! Lightning McQueen was the star of the show, of course, but I flanked the table with the new characters (Cruz Ramirez and Jackson Storm) too! These fold up for easy transport in your car and they are a snap to assemble! My son wants to keep them for his room! Behind our main Lightning McQueen, I hung a few black and white checkered pennants, as well as the new Cars 3 letter banner. It comes with all the supplies to customize your child’s age.
I knew cupcakes were the way to go for this party, since we wanted everything to be disposable, so my friends at Smallcakes Collierville customized these fun Oreo-flavored cupcakes to look like roads for the cars. I printed some characters and glued them to toothpicks to make my own cupcake toppers. I displayed them on this Cars 3 cupcake stand, which is cardboard for easy cleanup!
For favors that the kids could easily take with them, I used these fun Cars plastic buckets and filled them with some goodies! They had Cars sunglasses, Cars rubber bracelets, Cars cups, tattoos, a visor, bubbles, Cars rings, and our favorite part: these Shindigz-exclusive, personalized race car chocolate bars!
I hope this gives you some fun ideas about how to make your party special and personalized, even in a 30-minute window!
