MERCHANDISING ASSISTANT

Primary Function
To support the Merchant team in their efforts to maximize product sales and margin through appropriate placements on the site, creation of reports and spreadsheets to manage assortments, preparation of supporting materials for product reviews and ideation.

 Job Duties include:

  • Assist in managing and executing online merchandising including building categories, assigning attributes, and sequencing relevant items within categories

  • Manage assigned Product Categories and Celebrations by developing and executing a financial plan, assortment strategy, new product planning, lifecycle management, and product marketing strategy to achieve desired company goals.
  • Curate a well-planned, balanced product assortment by category and by celebration to achieve the sales growth and profitability goals while offering relevancy, quality, and value.
  • Develop product strategies that transform innovative, creative, and exclusive products into Big Idea’s that support future growth initiatives.

·         Collaborate with inventory planning to ensure in stock position and appropriate sourcing and turn for all products. Responsible for order approval and exit plan on slow moving inventory.

·         Align with Planning to build financial plans by category ad sub-category, and to develop any reports needed for weekly, monthly, and ad hoc business analysis. Responsible for building and executing action plans.
