Camp Glam Birthday Party by Heather Bauer

When you’re turning seven, having a sleepover sounds like the most fun idea ever! Until it comes to the actual sleeping part

That’s why we made this Camp Glam party an "un-sleepover". All the stay-up-late fun of a sleepover, and then everybody gets to go home and sleep in their own beds. Love it!!

We set the stage for our indoor camping party with this adorable camper standee. It was such a statement piece for the party and the perfect backdrop for all of our camp games and activities!

The majority of the party festivities took place in our playroom, so I used this handy black star paper to conceal all of the toys and other things I didn’t want the party guests getting into.

I borrowed a green shag rug from my daughter’s room, but any faux grass would work! The big green space was the perfect floor covering for our "campground," and gave the campers a comfortable place to sit, eat, and play.

Our DIY fire pit was definitely the star of the party decorations! I’ll share detailed photos on how we put that together in an upcoming post!

We served up some fun themed snacks on our snack buffet—rainbow trout, firewood logs, and matches to name a few!

And of course, you can’t have a camping party without S’Mores! These personalized bag toppers were the perfect way to package the marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate.

The official dessert of the night was cupcakes, with personalized Camp Glam cupcake toppers.

Our snack table was finished off by plates, flatware and napkins in colors and patterns that coordinated with our Camp Glam party theme.

I was able to DIY a lot of the party favors—like these canteens! They were such a huge hit! I found them on clearance and customized them with these personalized Camp Glam stickers.

For party activities, the girls made name tags from wooden discs, decorated foam picture frames with stickers, and made dream catchers using yarn, beads and feathers.

Dinner was served around the campfire. The party guests enjoyed a traditional camping meal of hot dogs, corn on the cob, mac ‘n cheese, and apple slices. Dollar store meal tins were a fun touch!

It was a such a fun party! My daughter and her friends are STILL talking about, weeks later!
