I love the bold, saturated colors of India. Indian weddings particularly, are full of rich, deep color and infused with pops of florals like chrysanthemums and begonias. I love surrounding myself with bright color! So, when I saw this Passage to Paradise party theme while I was browsing the Shindigz website, I fell in love!
Purple is my favorite color and unfortunately, it’s not a color you see used in many party products! The detail on these standees and accessories is so gorgeous. It’s filled with paisleys and jewels. Any little girl would love to have this as her party theme. My favorite part is that this collection is so versatile! It could be used as a Bollywood Party, a Genie in the Bottle party, an Arabian Nights party, a Princess Jasmine party, or even a Shimmer and Shine party. Do your little ones watch that show? It’s really cute!
To make your party really pop, I love using BIG show-stopping pieces. This Taj Mahal arch is the perfect piece to really make your guests say "WOW!" It even comes with its own lighting kit that you can add optionally. That would be awesome at night! It’s 10 feet high, so it will definitely make an impact on your guests, big and small.
Since there is a large opening in the arch, my idea is to take some of this beautiful purple iridescent chiffon fabric and hang it from the back of the arch to create a beautiful backdrop. Simply use duct tape to adhere to the back of the arch.
love seeing parties that are actually in homes. Most moms (and dads) at home aren’t having a party at an all-white warehouse. So, use what you have at your house to make the party stand out! I used my kitchen bar, which is higher than most bars. And since the top is higher, I displayed my desserts in two tiers. I made a bottom tier with a small 4 foot table. To cover that table, I used the Taj Mahal wall, which I cut with a box cutter in a few places, to make it fold over my table. To bring it all together, use a gold sequin table cloth to hide the bar! Think outside the box with your party goods! For instance, take these Taj Mahal column toppers and put them on the floor instead!
For treats, I love taking store-bought items and making them into something more elegant. Pick up a basic cake at your local bakery and add a pretty topper, like this Taj Mahal that I cut out on my die cut machine. I got these flower lollipops at my local grocery store in the Valentine’s section. Displaying them in a pretty container with gold shred really makes them stand out! These beautiful cake pops are by Bella’s Bakery and Bowtique and they really pick up on the deep, saturated colors of India.
Shindigz also has a variety of other fun items to round out your party. This cupcake stand was silver when I ordered it, but a little purple spray paint made it coordinate perfectly with the party theme. I added store-bought donuts that I customized by dipping them into purple candy melts and then sprinkling them with Candyfetti. This is SUCH a simple DIY for you moms at home. The possibilities are endless and you could make a donut to match literally any theme!
For our guests to take home, add this beautiful, personalized India Carnation Lip gloss. I personalized mine to say "Thanks for making my wishes come true! On the other side, give them a little favor bag to take home. These beautiful turquoise ones have a drawstring to make sure the lip gloss doesn’t fall out of the bag!
