Easter is a time for family. We love celebrating the holiday with a bright and pastel-filled brunch with our favorite people. Hosting a brunch can be easy with these four super-simple steps. We hop(e) you like them!
1. Easy Peasy Easter Décor
Hop on the Easter party train and decorate your home with the prettiest pastel colors. We added the cutest décor to our Easter brunch party with Mini Easter Egg Lanterns, a Happy Easter Ribbon Banner and a few décor pieces perfect for the DIYer looking for a cost-effective, yet totally sweet Easter party. Decorate your entrance with a customizable Easter banner – we chose "I Said a Hip Hop" (for obvious reasons). Add coral festooning around your banner to frame it out as a special focal point. To save your walls from leaving a mark, use command strips for easy-on, easy-off application. We created the most adorable DIY Easter bunnies using a giant white balloon and taping on a pink tissue ball and homemade bunny ears. Cute! Sprinkle tissue pom décor around the entryway to fill some space, plus it makes for an adorable photo op!
2. Family Snapshot Photo Booth
A family photo on Easter Sunday is a must! So create a designated photo area for all the family-photo treasures you’ll cherish years down the road. We created this look for less than $20! We started by hanging two wooden rods from the ceiling using monofilament line. With yellow, blue and pink streamers, we draped a festive pattern over the two rods. Use your own creativity for a unique twist on this look – we suggest adding garland, flowers or small tissue poms for cute accents. Set up a chair and add your cute Easter bunny balloons as props – the whole family will have to smile surrounded by such an adorable set up!
3. Bright and Inviting Easter Tablescape
Whether you’re serving brunch or a traditional Easter lunch, try this lighthearted and peppy tableware featuring pretty pastel colors and floral touches. For each place setting, we chose a golden weaved placemat, flower-foil plates and napkins, blue-detailed wooden cutlery, and stemless wine glasses. Substitute place holders by writing the name of your guests on their utensils. The blue wooden cutlery and paper plates are perfect for a quick clean up so you can savor the rest of the day with your family.
Celebrate spring with ice cold lemon water. We love adding a cute touch to the glass by garnishing each drink with a lemon slice. For the centerpiece, place gorgeous golden eggs (we spray painted ours!) in a bed of greenery. Or get the family together to dye Easter eggs on Saturday to help celebrate a fun Easter weekend. Fresh flowers are the perfect final touch to a ready-for-spring table.
4. Fun and Crafty Kids Table
Kiddos will go crazy over their own special table, so we combined their Easter favorites into one epic kids’ table set up. We started by packing each Easter bucket with green filler and topping with a favor bag filled with crayons, a chocolate lollipop and candy-filled Easter eggs. We love the little chicks popping up all around the Easter décor – only $2.99 for a package of 6! Using solid color tableware, we paired soft, spring colors, with bright pops of coral or yellow. We then tied up the wooden cutlery and napkins with twine, and styled the tabletop with white paper to encourage the kids to get creative. For a fun centerpiece, we filled small, cylinder vases with colored water and added fresh flowers to brighten up the table. The final touch? Tons of tissue poms and balls in your favorite Easter colors – kids will love to play with them and pose for a fun photo op!
