One of my favorite New Year’s Eve party themes of all time is the Roaring 20s. This era was full of decadence, glitz and glam, making it perfect for an epic NYE celebration. Here are eight must-have items for your Roaring 20s New Year Eve party. Enjoy!
1. Art Deco Decor
The focal point of our snack and beverage display was the oversized art deco décor. We displayed an art déco standee on top of our 48" round table; it was truly a statement piece. Then, since this was certainly a party, we added the trumpet music player standee to evoke a lively party mood. In addition to the standees, we included art décor references in our selection of paper plates, paper napkins and personalized stickers.
2. Coupe Champagne Glasses
Iconic to this era, no 1920s party would be complete without coupe champagne glasses. While we set vintage glassware out during dinner, we opted for disposable coupe champagne glasses throughout the evening.
3. Gold Party Décor Accents
We included gold accents wherever possible in our Roaring 20s NYE décor. We selected a subtle gold patterned table covering for our seated tables, and a gold sequin overlay for our beverage and snack display. Gold charger plates offered just the right amount of contrast to our art deco dinner plates. And, we chose gold details on a number of other serving pieces; gold flatware, gold rimmed beverage glasses and gold foil art deco paper napkins.
6. Reference to Prohibition
Prohibition and the 1920s era go hand in hand, so we couldn’t resist including an ironic reference in our NYE décor. We added this fun "Prohibition Ends Here" sticker to our alcohol decanter. Stickers are such a great way to personalize messages within a party’s décor.
8. Confetti Party Favors
No New Year’s Eve party would be complete without confetti. We filled plastic tubes with black and gold NYE confetti and personalized with "It’s a Roaring Good Time" stickers. These were the perfect party favors for our Roaring 20s party guests.
If you include these eight must-have items in your Roaring 20’s New Year’s Eve party, it's sure to be epic. Happy New Year!
