NAMED CATALOGERS OF THE YEAR
BY CATALOG SUCCESS MAGAZINE
FORT WAYNE, Ind., July 12, 2002 – Shep
and Wendy Moyle, owners of Stumps, America’s leading supplier
of party and prom supplies, were recently named Business-to-Business
Catalogers of the Year by Catalog Success Magazine.
In the July 2002 issue, Catalog Success magazine
named five catalog industry professionals as winners of the first-annual
Catalogers of the Year awards. Winners demonstrated innovation in
cataloging, measurable company growth, and advancement to the catalog
industry as a whole.
According to Donna Loyle, editor of Catalog
Success, the Business-to-Business Catalogers of the Year award was
given to the Moyles because of their impressive business acumen. Since
their purchase of Stumps in 1990, the Moyles have taken the company
from a one-catalog company with 40 employees to a 14-title firm with
seven websites and 425 employees. They have also made three acquisitions
since 1998, including the acquisition of the upscale gift catalog
Celebration Fantastic in the first quarter of this year.
“We are truly honored to receive this
award,” said Shep Moyle, president of Stumps. “Wendy and
I have worked hard over the past 12 years to build a strong business.
Our focus has not only been on growth, but on continuing to be an
important part of our community.”
Catalog Success is the catalog industry’s
most widely circulated trade magazine. Information about the Cataloger
of the Year awards, as well as information about Shep and Wendy Moyle,
will be featured in the cover story of the July 2002 issue.
