Gossamer Snow -- Oh My!
It was surprising that something that transparent could look so much like snow. We only used two layers loosely.

I was not familiar with gossamer, but could not find enough tulle in my area and when I searched for tulle online, I discovered gossamer was cheaper and looked nice in the pictures. I was planning an anniversary party and planned to use it in several ways--backdrop with small lights behind, draped along a banister, twirled around columns with ivy, etc. I wish I had not tried to save money and had ordered the tulle. The gossamer did not drape as well and it looked/felt extremely cheap. It might be great for little kids, but not an elegant adult affair.

I used this at a wedding to cover mini lights. It works well and looks great. Lights shine through very nicely but are also covered so the wires did not show.

We used gossamar for our After Prom party - wrapped it around columns (put white lights on first then layer the white gossamer over top and it's an awesome lighted affect). We also used the gossamer on the floor in a showcase area - again layed white lights down first and lightely put gossamer on top - excellent touch. Love this stuff.

Worked perfect for our after prom party. Used it to drape and add a decorative touch. Also used it to help conceal areas that we didn't want the kids to see or get to. I would definitely order this product again! It also comes in a lot of great colors!

I bought this gossamer to use as ceiling drapings for my wedding reception this summer. When it arrived I was worried that it might be a little thin, but upon testing it out at our location with our lights I am extremely pleased with how beautiful it looks. We're having a rustic themed wedding and I love the texture of this fabric and how perfectly it diffuses the light. I can't wait until it's all fully put together!

This is a great product! My sister introduced me to this product, because she uses it in many of her projects and events. We love using it and have found it to work for parties, weddings and other events. We have bought it in a lot of different colors and patterns. Very versatile and resilient. We used it for our Easter program as drapery and it really brought the scene to life.
It is cost-saving, goes a long way and won't break your budget, while still making everything look great!

I have used your gossamer for years. It has graced my dance recital stage as backdrops, filler, special effects and even used on some costuming. I always order the flame retardant gossamer, so I have no worries with the bright hot lights. Love the product will be ordering again!!!

Used product to make table skirts for a wedding head table and cake table. I wanted a fabric that was easy to work with that lighting would show through. It turned out great.

Q:
I have light brown colored brick walls that I want to transform for a winter wonderland theme. How transparent is the gossamer? How do I know if I should use one layer or will need to have multiple layers to avoid it looking like a brick wall still?Asked on 11/20/2012 by Nicolemj from Grand Blanc, MI1 answer
A:
Gossamer has the same thickness as a dryer sheet. You will probably need several layers to cover the wall.Answered on 11/21/2012 by CSR
Q:
I need to drape a backdrop that is 8ft x 30 ft. How much do I need?Asked on 8/27/2012 by megan1 answer
A:
I think that you would be safe with one 60 inch x 50 yard roll.Answered on 8/28/2012 by CSR
Q:
we are decorating a 60 x 40 foot barn for a wedding. i would like to drape it with lights. any ideas on what size i should get. i am thinking about 8 drapes. thanksAsked on 5/3/2012 by jan from illinois1 answer
A:
We have various sizes (9 different sizes available) in white gossamer. It is a personal preference on how wide you would like to make your swags and how long. We cannot give you any exact measurements as it depends on how low the swags are, how long, how wide, etc.Answered on 5/7/2012 by csr
Q:
I will be decorating a ceiling for a wedding and it is 40feet by 40ft. I would like to make 4 runs from the center to the 4 out side corners. What length of role would I need. I'm thinking of the 100inch width.Asked on 4/18/2012 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
It is all dependant upon the width you actually like. I may suggest the 60 inch width instead of the 100 inch.Answered on 4/19/2012 by csr
Q:
what do you hang and or secure with when attaching to a wallAsked on 3/27/2012 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
You can use tape or tacks when attaching gossamer to a wall. Depending on what kind of wall surface or if rafters are present you may drape the gossamer also.Answered on 3/28/2012 by csr
Q:
I want to make ceiling drapery using gossamer for a banquet room roughly 70x70. Using 5 panels. What size should I get?Asked on 11/17/2011 by gifted901 from Memphis,TN1 answer

We recommend that you purchase the 60 inch wide x 100 yard roll.Answered on 11/18/2011 by CSR
Q:
Needing a fabric that glows well under a black light. Will gossamer give me that effect???Asked on 4/5/2011 by top hat mom from Berlin, PA1 answer
A:
This product is similar to the thickness of a dryer sheet and with it being white should give off a great glow effect.Answered on 4/6/2011 by csr
Q:
I want to create a starburst effect by hanging gossamer and then shining colored lights to make the gossamer pick up the colors in the lights. Is this the right material if I use the white gossamer, or should I use the white metalic gossamer?Asked on 1/16/2011 by Ravengirl from Anderson Indiana2 answers
A:
Either one will work for you. I would go with the White Gossamer personally.Answered on 1/19/2011 by CSRVERIFIED BUYER
A:
I would prefer using the flame retardant gossamer and wrap the lights in it. We are doing this for a project at my church. The white will do it, but for a greater impact you may want to consider the metallic.Answered on 3/21/2011 by Lawana-the Queen of Makeshift from Beaver Dam, KY
Q:
How much would I need to drape a hex tent 35 x 40.
I would like to drape approx. 5 runs with some draping across the ceiling.Asked on 12/15/2010 by rere from Essex, Ontario1 answer
A:
I cannot give you an exact amount because of not knowing how you will be draping and how high your ceilings as well as how long the drapes will be.
Here are my suggestions: 3 rolls of 60 inch wide x 50 ft long or 2 rolls of 60 inch wide x 100 ft long or 9 rolls of 19 inch wide x 50 ft long or 5 rolls of 19 inch wide x 100 ft long.Answered on 12/17/2010 by csr
Q:
I am giving my daughter a sweet sixteen party. We have rented a space that has concrete block walls that we want to cover. I am considering purchasing gossamer but I'm not certain of how to hang it up. Can you please explain to me how and what materials do I need to hang the fabric.Asked on 8/22/2010 by Magical Mom from Albany GA2 answers
A:
Check out our great gossamer video - http://www.youtube.com/user/ShindigZParty#p/f/2/zSBD6ifC8FQ. You may want to order our inexpensive How to Decorate with Gossamer book (item TOODWG) that also has a lot of tips. You can use just about anything to hang the gossamer depending on what you need to attach it to - double sided tape, magnets, rings, etc.Answered on 8/24/2010 by AnonymousVERIFIED BUYER

My husband hung PVC piping around the perimeter. We then hung white Christmas lights vertically over the piping. Then I draped the gossamer over the top of the pipe and stapled it together, creating a gathered look. I let the gossamer "puddle" on the floor.Answered on 10/5/2010 by DIY Bride's Mom from East Ellijay, GA
