I bought the Tiki Hut Topper for my daughter's Luau Themed 3rd birthday party. We used it for our "Snow Cone Tiki Bar". It is super cute and easy to put together. I loved the decoration -- good colors on the flowers...very festive. And a great price!! I think it was the least expensive from all the others I found online or in stores. My only 'con' is that it is unstable. I'm glad I put it together and tried it out before the party because a small gust of wind blew the hut over. So knowing that, I tied wire around the 'legs' of the hut and tied them to the table. Problem was fixed. Loved it. I'm glad I purchased it from this company.

Once we rigged it together it was cute but very flimsy[...] I was out of town and the one that was planning the decorations. When we opened it and proceeded to put the tiki bar together we discovered it was missing several key parts. All I have to say is thank goodness we found some duct tape! I was initially so excited about this tiki bar and it just made me so sad once we actually used it.

We used this as a decoration for a Hawaiian themed sweet 16 party. The table held the party favors, ie: leis, sunglasses, etc. The Tiki Hut topper really made it a focal point in the room and showcased the favors so well!

I read other reviews that it was difficult to put this tiki hut together, and that was not the case at all for me and my sister. We had this up in about 15 minutes, including the thatched roof and colorful flower streamer included. I purchased the plastic table cover and skirting around the bottom of the table at another store, so if you look at the pictures, only the top part is what is included "minus the tiki bar sign."
Negatives: Very flimsy. If you have this indoors, no problem. We managed to go through the whole day without this blowing over, although the night before it did end up on the ground. My suggestion would be to weigh or tie this down to your table or whatever it is sitting on somehow, although I have no solution for that. The finished product looked awesome, and we ended up having kids handle the "bar" area with a shaved ice machine that was truly a hit.
Overall was I happy with this purchase..YES.

Hi, I really think that is a cute idea for a safari themed bedroom and very unique! No, I don't think it will knock over every time she sat down. The bars themselves holding this togethr are flimsy, but we purchased this for a outdoor 8th grade grad party and had many kids sitting around and getting their drinks from this table and it did not fall over once. This is just for the topper. The raffia tableskirting you see around the bottom of the table may be what's throwing you off for the size. The Tiki Hut Topper is a metal framed hut that will fit most tables that are no more than 22 inches deep. A portable 5 foot table should work fine.Answered on 4/8/2011 by csr
