These worked great for our Post Prom event. We did a space theme and they fit nicely with the futuristic look. We hung them in a area that was a smaller room and they looked great. The only draw back to this product is the durabilty. They are easy to dent, so you have to handle them carefully. Otherwise they come ready to hang. Just unfold them and clip shut and hang where you want them. They have a lot of versality and could probably be used for a lot of different themes. We used a total of 8 and they fit nicely in small room.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

these lanterns look nice from a distance, but are a little fussy when working with them. They tended to wrinkle on the pleats a bit, and needed more time to adjust then simply unfolding them.

Unfolding these balls was a bit tricky because they easily became asymmetrical based on where the folds were stretched. They were good for covering larger spaces and creating effect.

When I received these, 7 of the 12 had been assembled wrong and wouldn't unfold correctly. I contacted customer service and they sent me a dozen more for free just in time for our party. Make sure to check them before your event. The Matha Stewart ones work alot better, but cost more.

Bought to use at a fund raiser. Easy to use, light weight but be careful handling because they crush easily and hard to reshape. We hung them from the ceiling and they looked pretty but no shine. Will not be able to reuse all due to damage of handling.
