This is an exceptional product. It does look like china! If you look closely, though, you can see the plastic circle where the material was pulled, cut, and separated. If your guests are looking that closely, though, I would be surprised.

These are the most elegant disposable plates I've ever used and I've used a LOT of them over the years. I thought that some of the previous reviews were a little over the top, but they were right! These plates easily hold up to weighty food and even stand up to knives. You won't go wrong ordering these plates.
