Great for cupcakes in papers. I would not recommend putting loose fruit or unwrapped food items on it IF you want to use it again.

We used it as a cupcake stand, but b/c of being folded in the box, it was slightly bent so cupcakes were tilted instead of being on a flat surface. It was for a 4 year old "princess" party and it was a hit!
