Don't laugh, but I bought these mats to put in the nesting boxes of my chicken coop. I kept finding cracked eggs and the straw that I put in the boxes, the girls kept kicking out. We tried cheap astro-turf type stuff and it was too thin; they tried to eat it and ended up ripping it all out. Finally I found these mats doing a search. The price was right, so I decided to give them a try. The hens LOVE them. No more broken eggs! No more ripped out bedding! They are the perfect size, too.
I realize this is not the purpose that most of the customers on this site will use them for, so I'll also tell you that they're constructed well (you can pull off the grass if you really try, but it's not that easy), flexible, brightly colored and would probably be a fun addition to a hula themed party.
Or ... if you have a chicken coop that needs nesting pads, they're the bomb!

These are cute but they aren't as filled as they look on line. They look very full on line but aren't. You can see through them. But they worked for my tinker bell themed party. I got an idea from another site about using these as a runner on the table and I saw they had flowers on them so I hot glued flowers and butterflies on them and that made them looked so cute and filled in the holes and made it look full. The other review is correct, they are small. They are individual squares. I used four as a runner with flower arrangements in between. If you can get them on sale even better. They are not flimsy. They are durable. I was pulling and hot gluing and they were fine. I would recommend buying them but definitely add something to them or use them under something. I think they are a little pricey but I have seen them for more money so it isn't that bad. I just wish there was more grass on them and not so see through.

These squares are on the small side. I bought 4 to use as a runner center piece on my kitchen table for a spring/Easter display. I read other reviews so I knew about the size issue. The 4 I purchased are perfect for my display. They are festive and not cheesy or cheap. I love how my table turned out!

I used the product as a grass mat for a Dr. Seuss themed baby shower. My client asked me to create "Truffula Tree" cake pops from the movie, "The Lorax" and these grass mats worked out perfectly as the base of the trees.

I purchased this product to use as a prop for my photography studio. I wanted to bring the outdoors indoors! I love the look of it, the color is FANTASTIC. They store very easy, which is a must for a studio. I really don't have anything negative to say about this product. I can't wait to use it with one of my photo shoots!
