Top 3 venues for hosting your son's birthday party during December

Date Created: 11/30/2011

Top 3 venues for hosting your son's birthday party during December. Children born in December may feel a bit left out during the holidays - after all, most of the adults are decking the halls and preparing for the season, and your child could feel left out. If your son celebrates his birthday during this busy month, it's vital that you don't let his big day go by unnoticed. In the midst of the holiday hysteria, you can plan a boy birthday party quite easily and use some of the winter's best activities to enthrall your child and his guests. Having a separate celebration at another venue will allow you to shine the spotlight on him for a day or two before you jump back into your holiday prep work.

1. An ice skating rink. Heading off to your local ice skating rink is an enjoyable time for experienced kids and beginners alike. Many of these places offer group rates on skates and other supplies, and many of them have party rooms that you can decorate with mylar balloons, personalized banners and streamers. Make sure to keep everyone in a group so no one is left out, and be sure to hold up those entry-level skaters that may be having trouble!

2. A bowling alley. Bowling allys have been classic birthday party venues for years and they are tailor-made to hosting large-scale celebrations. Much like the ice skating rink, you can probably get a discount on shoes and lanes, but be sure to invest in two lanes instead of one. If you have more than six kids in tow, they may become restless when waiting for their turn, so invest in two lanes to allow the games to go by much faster. These businesses also have party rooms, so you can bring a cake, party tableware and imprinted napkins for everyone to enjoy.

3. A sledding party. If you've had a recent snowfall, there's no reason why your child and his friends can't enjoy the great outdoors. Bring a wide selection of sleds and snow tubes and be sure to have extra hats and gloves for the kids. Lastly, don't forget to bring a camera - you will have more than your fair share of photo opportunities as the kids race down the hill!

A December birthday can be a drag, but you can make it an unforgettable experience with boy birthday party supplies and these engaging locations.
