Date Created: 11/03/2011

Top 3 tips to throw your parents an unforgettable anniversary party. If your parents have a significant wedding anniversary on the horizon, this is a milestone that shouldn't go unnoticed! Being committed to one another after all these years has provided a positive example for you and your family to follow, and they deserve an anniversary party to show just how much you appreciate them. To make their anniversary bash stand out, there are a number of charming party decorations and activities that will create an unforgettable celebration for your parents.

1. A photo collage. Since your gathering will be celebrating the many years that your parents have been together, why not throw together a photo collage that highlights some of their best moments? Throw together a series of photos that spans the entirety of their marriage and place it by the front door when guests arrive. Put them on a large piece of poster board and decorate the area with mylar balloons, streamers and curling ribbon to give it a pop of color. This will be a fabulous addition to the party and will let guests look back on the many moments that strengthened their relationship.

2. Get ahold of your parent's wedding invites. Look through your parents' wedding invite list - chances are, they haven't seen many of these people in years, so do your best to reach out to them and see if they can make it to your gathering. Your parents will be overjoyed to see their old friends and it will allow them to catch up on everything that's been happening in their lives. Best of all, your parents will be even more surprised that you went out of your way to make this day extra special for them.

3. Whip up their favorite meal. Your parents undoubtedly have a favorite restaurant or meal that they love to share with one another, so make this a top priority. You can try making their favorite foods from scratch, or have their preferred eatery cater the event. Be sure to have party tableware, catering supplies and imprinted napkins on-hand to make cleanup less of a chore.

With these anniversary party supplies and a few advanced preparations before the big day, you can ensure that your parents' celebration of their many years together will be an event that they will treasure for years to come.
