Tips to cut down on the expenses of your friend's bridal shower party
Date Created: 02/01/2012
As the maid of honor, you have a long list of obligations to take care of before your best friend's big day, and one of the most daunting will be the bridal shower party. While you may have been to your fair share of opulent celebrations over the years, these occasions are meant to honor the bride and don't expect a full slate of entertainment.
Holding the get-together at someone's home is probably the best course of action. This will allow you to use mylar balloons, personalized banners and curling ribbon to incorporate the bride's favorite color throughout the space.
You aren't expected to provide a whole meal at a bridal shower, but giving the guests a few things to snack on is a great idea. Try finger sandwiches, a veggie plate or provide rolls and a plate of meats and cheese to allow guests to make their own. Party tableware and plastic silverware are also bridal shower party supplies to keep in good supply.
Lastly, make sure there is enough seating in your main communal area. Everyone will want a clear view of the bride-to-be opening her gifts, so ensure that your guests have a place to unwind.
