Date Created: 04/09/2012

Tips to create a jaw-dropping arrangement for your child's graduation party. With your college grad about to walk up to the podium and receive his diploma in May, you're probably just beginning your preparations to throw him a graduation party. After all, your child only has one college graduation, and this is a perfect chance for you to get the whole family together and celebrate this momentous occasion. However, with friends and relatives coming from all areas of the country, you'll need to go the extra mile to help your home look and feel more inviting. Use the following tips and party themes to help your bash come together smoothly before your child's big day.

1. Decorate your foyer. As the primary entryway when your friends and family enter your home, your foyer should be bathed in festive color and festooned with plenty of party decorations. Start by utilizing a personalized banner, and decking out the room with a series of springtime accents. A party centerpiece is a wonderful addition, but you can also create one yourself. Start by utilizing a small serving tray and adding colorful streamers, fresh-cut flowers and other seasonal additions to create a warm and inviting look.

2. Fire up the grill. To make things much easier on yourself and to ensure that you're making food that everyone will like, simply fire up the grill and throw all of your favorites on the fire. Hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken are great additions, but you should also cook a few veggies and throw together a salad or two for your non meat-eating guests. Be sure to keep plenty of party tableware and catering supplies on-hand to make cleanup much easier at the end of the shindig.

3. Party favors. Graduation gifts are par for the course for this occasion, and your guests will sometimes bring some pretty opulent gifts to honor this event. To repay them for their generosity, utilize a selection of party favors like personalized chocolate bars or cookie tin favors. This will give your guests something to munch on during the ride home and will be a wonderful parting gift they will love.

These graduation party supplies will be a wonderful boost for your child's party and will show off your decorative flair to your loved ones. A college graduation is a huge deal, so make sure your child's get-together is worthy of his enormous achievement.
