Throw an election party for all your friends
Date Created: 06/09/2010
Over a dozen states held their primaries yesterday, and if you want to celebrate the new delegates, throw an election party for all your friends! This can be a fun way to revere the democratic process while you and your friends have a relaxing time!
For starters, you'll want to send out some party invitations. Try to find some adorned with the symbols of America's two biggest parties - a donkey and an elephant.
You'll want to go all out with red, white and blue decorations. Start out with some confetti to get things going. Streamer string is a must for this event, and you can even get some star-spangled flat paper to decorate your walls.
Think up some fun party games to play with your friends. For instance, why not write the names of some famous politicians on post-it notes, and stick them on your buddies' backs? Then have your guests try to guess who they are by asking yes or no questions.
At the end of the event, send partygoers home with some excellent party favors. How about some cookie tin favors adorned with personal messages about the elections? Red and blue bead necklaces will also make your guests smile.
