St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner
Date Created: 02/23/2011
While originally a Catholic holiday to commemorate St. Patrick clearing the Emerald Isle of snakes, St. Patrick's Day has grown into a worldwide phenomenon of parades, partying and wearing green. Throwing your own St. Patty's shindig is easy with the right amount of green decorations and good company.
Lighting is one of the best ways to create a festive ambiance for your gathering. Hang up some green incandescent lights to ratchet up the look of your home. Green streamers and curling ribbon could also be welcome additions to a table spread.
Food may be the main draw for your St. Patty's Day party, so go with the old standard of corned beef. You can let the roast cook throughout the day in a pressure cooker and then serve it with some fresh rolls, horseradish mayonnaise and a side of cabbage for the ultimate Irish meal.
For some added flair for your celebration, try some party curtains, mylar balloons, imprinted napkins and party centerpieces. These St. Patrick's Day party supplies will add to the festive nature of your gathering and your guests will appreciate your decorative flair.
