Michelle Obama makes appearance at baby shower for military moms-to-be
Date Created: 04/22/2011
Both Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden recently attended a baby shower for 40 Marine wives at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. The First Lady made it known that even while their husbands are away, their tight-knit community shows their strength, according to ABCNews.com.
Martha Stewart was also on hand for the event, and she led a class for the moms-to-be in a delightful scrapbooking demonstration before the First and Second Lady arrived. The visit was another extension of the new national public awareness program that is meant to support the nation's military families with whatever they need while a loved one is deployed.
If your family member is serving overseas and he or she has completed their mission, celebrate the occasion with a welcome home party! Mylar balloons, streamers and confetti will add a splash of color that your special guest will love.
Whip up your loved one's favorite food dish and serve your guests with party tableware, catering supplies and imprinted napkins. These welcome home party supplies will make planning a breeze so you can concentrate on welcoming your brave guest home.
