Michelle Obama attended fundraising dinner

First Lady Michelle Obama attended for a fundraiser in New York City last night, October 18, where she mingled with some of the fashion industry's power players.
Women's Wear Daily reports that the First Lady attended a Democratic fundraiser at the home of Donna Karan, where she had the chance to rub elbows with many of the people she has helped rise to prominence on the national stage thanks to her donning several of their frocks.
After the cocktails at Karan's home, the First Lady then jetted to Broadway's St. James Theater where Sarah Jessica Parker hosted another event for her, which included a special performance from Patti LaBelle
Election day is only a few weeks away, and this year has turned out to be a heavy political year.
You may want to stock up on election party supplies and throw your very own party while waiting for the polls to close on November 2. Balloons and streamer string in red, white and blue are the perfect decorations for this day that celebrates the democratic process.
