Memorial Day is just a few weeks away, and as the unofficial first day of summer, it's the perfect time to get together with some of your loved ones. While playing host is always a fun experience, making sure everyone has enough to eat can mean extra stress. This year, host a Memorial Day potluck party so you can leave the cooking to your guests and spend more time mingling with your friends and family.
Your backyard is the best place to hold your gathering, so start by placing as many patio chairs and tables as you can find. Put up some umbrellas around the yard, so your guests have a place to retreat to from the sun.
Put out a large serving table so that all of your guests' fabulous fare can be displayed. Use some imprinted napkins, catering supplies and party tableware to make cleanup less of a chore for the hosts.
Decorative lighting around your patio will add a charming accent when the sun goes down, and allows you to keep the party going long into the night. Use some mylar balloons, streamers and other backyard party supplies to spruce up your home for the big day.
