Host a Halloween craft party before the kids set out trick-or-treating
Date Created: 10/04/2011
Halloween is just around the corner, and the holiday is one of the most exciting times of the year for little ones. While they're gearing up to head out into the neighborhood to score some candy, you can get their night started off on the right foot by throwing a Halloween party that is centered around crafts.
Since carving pumpkins can be dangerous for small children, invest in a few smaller pumpkins and let the kids decorate them with paint instead. You can also let the kids design their own masks by providing them with construction paper, glue and scissors. Who knows, they may just design a mask that's better than what they found in the store!
Make your craft party a festive occasion by incorporating mylar balloons, party centerpieces, holiday-themed streamers and other Halloween party supplies to perk up the look of your venue.
Supply a few sandwiches and beverages so the kids can go trick-or-treating on a full stomach and use party tableware and imprinted napkins to make clean-up less of a chore when they set out for the night.
