Facebook event mistakenly invites 1,500 guests to Sweet 16

A teenager from Hamburg, Germany, got more than she bargained for when she sent out an invitation for her Sweet 16 party. According to DigitalSpy.com, Thessa only intended to have a few of her friends over, but she did not set the invitation to private which inspired an unexpected viral response that drew some 1,500 guests to her home.
Thessa's parents ended up calling the police to control the rowdy crowd that had formed on their front lawn. The crowd brought everything from cake, presents and balloons, and held up signs that said "Where's Thessa?" and chanting, "Thessa, celebrating a birthday is not a crime!"
While this hilarious situation was certainly a birthday to remember, with some traditional party invitations you can avoid a flash-mob on your lawn. A Sweet 16 party decked out with mylar balloons, personalized banners and streamers will create an unforgettable atmosphere.
