Now that the cooler temperatures are on their way in and the dog days of summer are on their way out, that doesn't mean that you can't plan a bash that embraces the great outdoors. The leaves will soon be changing which will provide the perfect backdrop for a backyard party.
Plan your menu around fall-themed dishes and encourage your guests to wear a few extra layers so they can enjoy the crisp autumn air. Fall is all about comfort food, so try whipping up a batch of chili, slow-cooking some pulled pork or roasting a rotisserie chicken on the grill.
Warm apple cider is a beverage that's made for fall, so keep some on the stove and flavor it with cinnamon and a bit of maple syrup. You can also use some catering supplies, party tableware and imprinted napkins to make cleanup a lot easier when the party concludes.
Give your bash a bit of festive flair with party centerpieces, streamers, balloons and other backyard party supplies. With a few small preparations, you can create an engaging atmosphere that will allow your friends to sample the tastes and sights of fall.
