Now that the weather is starting to get a bit cooler and summer is winding down, you will need some innovative theme party ideas for the fall and winter. A themed potluck party is always a great idea, and you can explore the many varied tastes of the Orient with an Asian party.
Encourage your guests to bring an appetizer, entree or dessert to work with your chosen theme. Make sure that you have a wide range of cultures represented, such as Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese or whatever your friends feel comfortable cooking. A great idea for an entree is to make a large pot of Asian noodle soup that's flavored with ginger and soy sauce for a delectable main course.
Decorations are another major aspect of your shindig, so start by hanging up some paper lanterns, brewing up some tea and serving it in some ornate cups or serving some sake for your guests.
