Ellen Pompeo threw the perfect first birthday party

Ellen Pompeo, star of Grey's Anatomy, recently celebrated a milestone that every parent looks forward too - their child's first birthday!
People Magazine reports that the 40-year-old actress was gushing about her daughter Stella's first bite of birthday cake as she turned one years old.
"She'd never had cake before," she told the news source. "She doesn't really have a lot of sugar, just only in fruit. So the cake was a pretty big deal because she'd never had anything that sweet before. She had little bites."
Pompeo said that Stella absolutely loved the cake, but that she'd be limiting her experience with the delectable treat to only once a year.
