Cyndi Lauper wows crowd at post-Emmy party
Date Created: 08/31/2010
Entertainment Tonight teamed up with People Magazine to throw one of the more fun and over-the-top Emmy parties this past weekend, Women's Wear Daily reports.
Unlike the traditional sit-down dinner of the Governors Ball, this shindig was held at Vibiana, a downtown Los Angeles venue that used to be a cathedral.
Guests included LL Cool J, Susan Sarandon and Neil Patrick Harris with longtime beau David Burtka. Some stuck to the VIP areas, but most partygoers hung out in the courtyard and nave of the church where they snacked on delicacies from the Mexican buffet.
Cyndi Lauper hit the stage for an hour-long set clad in black leather and lace with a bright red wig. She sang her hit, True Colors, providing the cherry on top of an amazing Emmy weekend.
Do you love a good bass line, black leather and screaming guitar solos? Throw a rock star party to indulge your inner head banger.
Guests should be given a heads up about the attire, spandex and big hair are a must, so make sure to note that in your party invitations.
Go over-the-top with streamer string and confetti, you can even have them spread around your venue as your friends rock out to some tunes.
