Celebrate with friends and family with a first communion party

Spring is in the air and one of the sights you'll see this time of year are boys and girls dressed in their best to receive their first communion. Since this is such a pivotal event in your child's life and faith, take advantage of the opportunity to spend time with loved ones and reward your child's commitment with a first communion celebration.
Once the ceremony is over and you're back at your humble abode, everyone is sure to be famished. Make a dish that you can prepare beforehand such as lasagna or a casserole, so you can pop it in the oven when you get home. Another idea is to do a slow-cooker dish such as pulled pork or brisket, that you can leave on while you're at the church.
When decorating your space, try to use as many spring accents and floral colors as possible. Additionally, party centerpieces, mylar balloons and personalized banners will be perfect for your child's special day.
