Carnival parties perfect for a child's birthday

If your little boy or girl has a birthday approaching, a carnival party could be a wonderful theme that their friends will enjoy. While decorating may seem like a daunting task, incorporating plenty of color into your space and with traditional party supplies will make your birthday party a rousing success.
For a special treat, try to feature as much carnival food as you can. Candied apples, caramel corn and corn dogs are perfect for the occasion. Some party rental companies will even rent out a cotton candy machine, which will surely be a hit with the children.
A carnival party can work in the wintertime as well by decorating your interior with streamers, curling ribbon and other colorful accents. In the spring or summertime, you can set up a camping tent in the backyard filled with toys so the kids have plenty to play with. If the space permits, try a large piece of stretchy fabric such as lycra, and tie one end to a tree and the other to your house. Adorn it with balloons and streamers for the ultimate carnival atmosphere.
Confetti, mylar balloons and party tableware are carnival party supplies that can make decorating a breeze for parents.
