August 26th is National Dog Day!

With the dog days of summer already upon us, you may be racking your brain trying to come up with new theme party ideas you haven't tried yet this year. Believe it or not, August 26th is National Dog Day and it could be the perfect excuse to bring all of your furry friends together for a fun and engaging backyard party.
Since this party will be all about the dogs, be sure that you have a fenced in area, so the canines can run around and you won't have to worry about keeping track of them. You can also whip up a few homemade doggy treats as a special party favor for your guests.
As for the adults, you can plan a fun outdoor barbecue and set up a few outdoor games like badminton or volleyball. Just be sure that you keep the foods out of the reach of the fellow dogs, as table scraps could upset their stomachs.
Use some mylar balloons, party tableware, imprinted napkins and other backyard party supplies to add a dash of festive color and to ensure that cleanup is a snap.
