Simple directions but definitely went much easier with 3 people working on it. Once together, was pretty sturdy. Used indoors so don't know if any issues of needing to be weighed down. Nice display and added to atmosphere. Much easier to take apart than put together. Due to height & size could not be put together ahead of time elsewhere and transported. I will actually be reusing for another event in a few weeks and hope to be able to assemble more quickly.

We used this as the main entrance into our school fundraiser event "Come Sail With Us On An Auction Adventure" (Cruise theme). It took a little time to put together but I had read thru previous comments (when purchased) and learned some helpful hints regarding assembly. We plan to use it again next year for a different event.

The arch was a huge hit at our party. The set up was definitely time consuming. Do not wait until the last minute! It is not difficult but make sure you follow the directions. The only downfall was that our personalization was not centered on the top. That would be the only bad thing I could say about the product.

The arch was the centerpiece of our "Love Boat" theme party held outdoors at our neighborhood swim club. Everyone absolutely LOVED it! The only cons were that you need several people to put it together as it is somewhat flimsy. We also had to reinforce all sides with clear packing tape or it never would have held together. Great for a party, but really only usable once.

We used this for our Annual Boating Club Conference and it was a great "anchor" to the decor. we used it as a backdrop for a magic show and then the next day as an entrance to the Commanders Ball and a photo op for attendees. I wanted to use this item again, so I taped the edges that were to be duct-taped in a clear tape and the duct tape came right off. I will be able to use this item more than once, which is nice.

The arch is made of cardboard and you cannot spray fire retardant spray (it's not paint) on it because it would run. Fire retardant spray is for fabrics.Answered on 3/27/2012 by csr
