To decorate a ceiling with incredible impact, we cut 20 lengths of inexpensive white mason line (available at hardware stores) the width of our room, and stapled 6" by 15" triangular pennant flags in alternating colors of blue and gold cracked ice to it at 18" intervals. Between the flags at 6" intervals we attached 1" wide alternating blue and gold mylar ribbon cut to 12" segments, which were folded in half into upside down slight "v"s over the mason line and stapled. Cracked ice is easy to measure and cut using a craft knife, cork-backed steel ruler and plastic cutting mat. Each string of pennants was strung overhead across the room at 36" intervals. Our graduation event was school- spirit themed, and our colors blazed above!
