We bought this for a school dance. It did not come with a light bulb, but I used one I already had. I used a large round light bulb that looked like a steering wheel. You would definatley want a HUGE BRIGHT light bult because the peppermint is so large, a puney light would not do it justice. It was a little difficult to put together, but once assembled, was quite nice. I wish it had the "wrapper" disign on the sides like the cardboard versions. It was a little plain.

The lighted pepperment was beautiful and fit well in our theme. I would highly recommend it. Just be carful moving around.
