We purchased a handful of these for a mafia-themed birthday party. They are made of plastic, but you really can't tell without touching them. In general, they seemed to be just a little bit small, but it wasn't enough to really bother anyone. I just wouldn't wear it every day. For the price, I was glad I bought them because they really added to the ambiance of the party.
