We turned our church fellowship hall into a castle. This was so easy to hang and looked great, and unlike paper we can reuse it. The kids at our event loved it and I can say that it made the decorations come alive.

This instantly transformed our dining room into the Great Hall at Hogwarts. From ceiling to floor we covered all the walls. Easy to cut and easy to put up. Not super strong, so will tear if you pull hard on it. Used tacks to secure it to the wall. With stood 18 witches and wizards and now the day after it is still holding strong. It is somewhat transparent, so it will slightly show the color of your wall. The room looked amazing!

Pattern is printed vertically on fabric instead of horizontally. If printed horizontally, fabric could be hung like curtains across the room. To use-as-is: cut 2 widths and seam long edges together with fuzible iron-on interfacing. Takes extra time, but effort is worth it. Rooms walls looked like a castle.

We have used this flagstone gossamer to create a castle for our child's birthday party, to create interior walls for a Halloween Egyptian pyramid, to create the exterior of an Aztec pyramid for Halloween, and to cover boxes so that they appear to be stone. This gossamer was outdoors for a few days over Halloween and still held up great. We have reused several pieces.

We used the flagstone gossamer as the wall of Jericho. Kids held it up from the inside and then fell down when the horns blew. It held up under the pressure of many kids and I'm sure falling all on top of it. Great object lesson and material!

Can you tell me exactly what the flagstone gossamer is made of? We are having trouble flame-proofing it. It definitely reacts differently than plain colored gossamer. The solid color she is referring to could come from domestic and import sources. Domestic is polyester…import is polyprolene. Both react differently but if both are labeled FR, they meet NFPA 701 standards.
The flagstone is a print and the ink used to print is volatile which negates the FR in the base material.
You cannot “flameproof” gossamer with Flametard. It will still ignite but snuff itself out after a few seconds and one to no drips. Flametard makes the gossamer flamer retardant.Answered on 5/29/2012 by CSR
