We threw my sister an "under the sea" themed bridal shower, and this really helped us to lighten up the dark brown brick room. We draped it in a wave-like pattern over white christmas lights, and it looked beautiful. We also tied 5 to 6 helium blue/white/clear balloons along a 15-ft ribbon, so it gave a bubble-like effect all the way to the ceiling throughout the room. Although the gossamer was rather pricey, with a little bit of creativity you can make it go a long way.

First time using this product and I didn't do so well. Was trying to go for a waterfall effect, but failed, so can't really give an accurate review. However, in reading up on the material I now know I should have overlapped it and used a fan to give it that ripple action.

We were performing a musical that called for "water" and "waves." Never really having to face this before, a great and wise friend mentioned two wonderful things: this company and gossamer!!!! It was perfect! Never dealing with gossamer before, I was in awe. The quality was perfect: strong enough to be hot glued to dawl rods, pulled tight and then let loose to create waves. Opaque enough to let lighting through that created unbelievable effects. It was THEE solution to my dilemma. I honestly don't know why prom and homecoming committees don't use this stuff more - it's elegant, effecient, and cool to create an swag environment. Thanks to this wonderful company and welcome to my life!

Beautiful... We cut blocks of the material off and placed on blue green linen tableclothes for our event of 100 people. Then we threw on a little white fishnet and scattered seashells and starfish. It made the tables pop and gave it that extra burst of color.

I recreated the luau banquet table, as shown in pic on this site. Draped the table with this gossamer, put fish net on top with lei border; attached some star fish on the fish net and it looked fabulous. Had lots of material left over. Was very easy to attach to the table cloth(I used white from this site) with double sided tape.

Gossamer may be cut to any particular size needed. You may use double sided sticky tape or duct tape to secure on the underneath of the table unless you are simply draping it over a tabletop. And your question regarding fish net, starfish and sea shells being presentable - I'm unclear of what you are acutally wanting to know. I would wrap the edges under the table and tape it. It may take 2 to 3 strips (depending on the width of the gossamer). Also, you could put fish net and starfish on top of it or under it for the 3 dimensional effect.Answered on 7/4/2011 by Gigi from Boonville, MO
