I attached the tassels to homemade graduation hats for table decorations. Cheap, easy and looks awesome...3 sheets of black construction paper + 1 tassel + star stickers + 4 minutes to assemble = 1 graduation hat for approx .16 cents each. I also printed graduation poems and attached to hat. Tassels are wonderful bright colors!

The (8 inch tassel) cord measures 6 inches right before the tassel knot and 8 inches total length.
The (11 inch tassel) cord measures 8 1/2 inches right before the tassel knot and 11 inches total length.
The ROYAL tassel will fit the folded 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper on the 8 1/2 inch side with a 1/2 inch slot. I hope this helps!Answered on 7/11/2012 by csr

It would depend on how much you want hanging over the booklet. It would be a personal preference. If your booklet is 6 1/4 inches high and you use an 8 inch tassel that would give you roughly 1 1/2-1 3/4 hanging.Answered on 8/17/2011 by csr
