Used for 8th grade graduation. Very easy to assemble and easy to attach the balloons. Lots of compliments from parents and students. Very flimsy. We had to glue/tape a joint because it broke while assembling. We also had to wire it to the ceiling as we were afraid it would fall over if the kids knocked into it. More of a one time use than multiple uses.

We used this for an elementary school talent show and kids and adults loved it. It was set on back of a portable stage a few feet high and back of star as high as a basketball hoop. I did anchor the 2 base supports down with some small weights for extra security around the kids. We had a 45hp portable compressor and a few helpers and blew all 200 balloons up in about 1 hour the night before the event, hardest part was tying them and tying 2 balloons together which made our fingers sore but they recommended double knots which we did. Started just aove base and twisted the 2 balloons on arch post. Took 2 people and a ladder to get the top done. We tied balloons to cover bases on each side. 2 people could move the arch when complete too. It leaned slightly at top to ne side so you could anchor to something or position against a back wall. We had trouble with one of the base rods was slightly dented/striped so a guy at home depot helped to get the bolt on bottom to hold base secure so I would suggest putting the arch frame together ahead of time so there are no surprises at thenlast minute but balloons have to be done same day or 1 day before, takes 2-3 hours to compete everything with a few people. The school is going to use it agsin for the 5th grade graduation and will keep using for thentalent show every year. We used 2 colors metallic blue for school color and metallic silver and rotated colors - using 3-4 doubkes of each color.

This arch was a popular photo backdrop at our teen-girl Hanukkah party. Assembly needed a team of strong blowers to inflate the balloons, as there were so, so many balloons needed to fill the arch. If you'd like to assemble this yourself, do it over a period of days, as blowing up so many balloons is just not easy all at once.

The arch is free-standing and is made of metal and sturdy. The bottom has somewhat of a flat "platform" that helps it stand alone, however you may also use a couple of bricks and cover the very bottom with gossamer to hide them.
