I didn't use this product for an ice luge - but I could imagine that it would work great for that, too.
I did use this product to illuminate a plastic birdbath that I'm incorporating into decor for an "indoor garden party." I placed the puck light into the basin of the birdbath, and covered the basin with a thin layer of opaque blue/purple plastic film. It gives the illusion of water, and the birdbath becomes an up-light!
